ACCOMPLISHED   PROJECTS

Armenian Cultural Association (ACA of B.C.)

  • February 1989 – On the AGM (Annual General Meeting) Elected as a member of  Executive Board of Directors.

    Key Speaker – Lectured at ACA organized cultural events.

    Writer – articles for ACA, including topics on: Armenian Language, linguistics, Culture, and modern political thinking of newly independent Republic of Armenia.

    Writer – articles for the ACA Sponsored Community Cooperative Radio Broadcasting.

    Radio Host – News Program, News from / about Armenian SSR and USSR

  • October 1994 – Organized and coordinated “BRAVO ARMENIA” Festival National Concert –  dedicated to the Reestablishment of The Republic of Armenia

    At the request of the ACA, invited 16 Super-Star Artists of Armenian Folklore, Namely  Hovhaness Badalian, Ruben Matevossian, Offelia Hampartsumian, and Raisa Mkrtichian, accompanied by 12 (twelve) Musicians – members of the famous Mernagulian Stars Ensemble.

    Obtained Canadian entry  visas for all 16 members of the Merangulian Ensemble.

    Transportation: Coordinated air/ground round trip transportation, insurance and accommodation for all the 16 (sixteen) members of the Merangulian Ensemble.

    MANY THANKS to the active members of the Armenian community for their generosity, and hospitality.

  • Organized and coordinate Medical assistance to Erebuni Hospital in Yerevan, Armenia, (Blood dialyzes filters and syringes total value of  ($10.000  CAD). Many Thanks To Mr. Harut Sassounian for the Valuable assistant.

  • Facilitated Armenian youth of BC to be hosted Free of Charge in Armenian Camps (Dilidjan and Dzaghgadzor) for one month.

    The Official Host. Armenian Governmental State Committee of Cultural Relation with Armenians Abroad was the inviting counterpart.
